Dining Etiquette
🚫
No Fragrance — Critical
No perfume, cologne, scented hair products, or strongly fragranced detergents on any omakase dining day. This is the single most important etiquette point.
Punctuality
Omakase meals begin simultaneously for all guests. Arrive early. Many of Tokyo's finest restaurants are in quiet streets — allow generous transfer time.
💴
Cash
Several restaurants at this programme level are cash only. Carry sufficient yen at all times. ATMs at 7-Eleven and Japan Post.
Counter Etiquette
Remove rings, bracelets, and watches at sushi counters — often made from precious single-piece hinoki cypress. Tipping not expected; say "Gochisousama deshita."
🔕
Reservations are Firm
Once secured, reservations are commitments. Happy Camper's access is built on years of trust. Cancellations damage relationships built over many seasons.
